Procedure: 1) If unable to report to due to accident, illness, or an emergency, all employees are expected to call their immediate supervisor as much in advance of their start time as possible to allow time for their replacement to be secured. 2) Employees are expected to notify and obtain their foreman or supervisors’ approval for any planned or foreseeable absence from work. 3) Employees are encouraged to schedule medical, dental, and personal appointments outside of their working hours. 4) Any employee that does not notify their supervisor and get their permission to be absent from work shall be suspended from duty without pay until the absence is reviewed by management. Absenteeism is considered unacceptable behavior and will be handled according to the Disciplinary policy.
